Analyze Engagement rate of your Discord Members

Engagement Metric

Active member retention: This displays how many new Discord members join in any time period, as well as how many of these members continue to be active in the time periods after they join. The first column shows how many new members joined in the period. Each column after shows how many of those member were active or sent at least 1 message in the time periods after. Higher percentages mean higher retention and activation rates. Active member retention helps measure the quality of new community members that come in from any campaign.

Member retention: This shows how many new Discord members joined in any time period. Each column after shows how many of those member stayed in the server in the time periods after. Higher percentages mean higher retention. This includes users who may not have ever sent a message or verified themselves, so Member retention is a lot higher than the Active member retention.

Most Active Channels

This section highlights the most engaged channels within the community, ranked by total message volume. For each channel, you can see:

  • Total number of messages during the selected period

  • Growth rate compared to the previous period

  • A mini activity trend chart

For example, the #sol-del-felipe channel leads with 4,562 messages, despite a -21.1% drop in growth, while #news-terminal follows with 1,311 messages and a -10.3% decline. This makes it easy to spot which conversations are driving (or losing) momentum.

Message Volume Heat Map (by Time of Day - UTC)

This heat map visualizes when your community is most active by hour and day of the week:

  • Darker blue squares = more messages

  • Lighter shades = lower activity

From the chart, Wednesdays around 4 PM to 6 PM UTC emerge as peak activity windows, while weekends show lower engagement overall. This helps in scheduling announcements, AMAs, and events during high-traffic hours for maximum impact.
